
Aine O'Brien
Board Member
Born and raised in Limerick, Ireland, Aine O'Brien studied Hotel Management at the Dublin Institute of Technology. After spending two years managing at the Royal Hotel in Killarney, she emigrated to Chicago in 1993 and began working for Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises.
Over the next 20 years, Aine held roles in Operations and as Sales and Catering Director at Lettuce. She later left to help open the LYFE Kitchen concepts in Chicago, where she launched and built the catering department. It was during this time that her path crossed with Julie, and LYFE Kitchen supported an early fundraising event at the farm.
In 2017, Aine became Director of Catering for Restaurant Associates at Google and, in 2019, joined the Google Food team as Global Catering Program Manager. Her most recent project is Ma O’Brien’s Irish Pub, a neighborhood tavern in Jefferson Park, where she and her children, Aishling and Elian, bring a taste of Ireland’s hospitality to this vibrant Chicago neighborhood.
