The Young Adults UAS Serves
Many of the young adults served through UAS are marginalized by low socioeconomic status and racial discrimination.
Matt Wendell, a teacher from Al Raby High School and collaborator with UAS, shares what life is like for these students who not only live with the challenges of autism and other intellectual and developmental differences, but the realities of the neighborhood they grow up in.

What direct impact does your donation make?
$25 covers the cost of work gloves for 5 young adults at our Growing Solutions Farm.

Our working farm gives students the opportunity to develop essential soft skills needed for the workplace.
$50 provides 10 young adults with instruction at our Life Lab.
ā
Students learn important life skills that increase their independence and help ease their transition into adulthood.
$100 helps offset one quarter of the cost of a Monthly Meetup.

Participants are given the opportunity to develop relationships, build social networks and have some fun.
$250 provides a young adult with six hours of employment- related services.

Students learn how to write a resume, prepare for interviews and build communication skills so they can find employment.
